National Quilting Association Show

Deadline: April 14, 2007

The National Quilting Association, Inc. has sponsored a quilt show and competition for 38 consecutive years. Entries are evaluated by a panel of three NQA Certified Judges. A printed evaluation form is returned for all entries. Ribbon awards are given at the discretion of the judges. A participation ribbon and commemorative quilt label are presented to all entrants.

Best of Show - Bed Quilt
Best of Show - Wall Quilt
*Best Hand Quilting - Bed Quilt
*Best Hand Quilting - Wall Quilt
*Best Machine Quilting - Stationary machine
*Best Machine Quilting - Track-mounted machine

*Note: To be eligible for these four (4) awards, quilts must be the work of one person. Both stitch production and quilting design are considered.

Six (6) Judges’ Recognition

Color - Effective integration of color and design

Embellishment - Creative use of embellishment to enhance the quilt design

Traditional - Remarkable achievement in classic patterning

First, Second,Third and Honorable Mention ribbons in each category.
